Getting Started

  1. Start by creating an account.
  2. Add balloon(s) to your cart and pay with your credit/debit card or Paypal. An email will confirm your purchase. Alternatively redeem your voucher, if you have one, using the activation code on the back of your balloon card.
  3. You're now ready to decorate and customize your balloon!

Choose from various shapes and colours, add a pattern and your name or upload a image of your pet onto the balloon. You could even fine-tune the amount of helium in your balloon to give you the ultimate edge – will a full balloon travel further?

Thank You

Thank you for taking part in our virtual balloon race, to help us celebrate our 30th anniversary! It’s a fantastic fun (and environmentally friendly) way to raise money for St Michael’s Hospice.

With many thanks to our wonderful sponsors General Dynamics and to everyone who has very kindly donated prizes for this event.

Who we are

At St Michael’s Hospice we provide excellent holistic care and support for all those throughout Hastings and Rother affected by a progressive life-limiting illness or bereavement.

Having an advanced illness can raise all sorts of practical, physical, spiritual and emotional issues, which affect not only the patient, but their family and friends too. Since we opened in 1987 we have cared for more than 12,500 people with life-limiting illnesses throughout Hastings and Rother, through a number of different services including; a 26 bedded In-Patient Unit, Hospice at Home, Day Services, Bereavement Services and Hospice Neighbours.

How you're helping

All the profits from the Virtual Balloon Race will go directly to St Michael’s Hospice, to help us provide specialist palliative care to the residents of Hastings and Rother. The cost of running the Hospice and providing the full range of services to our patients is over £5million a year. With no more than one third of this being provided by the NHS we need to raise the balance, circa £3.7million, over £10,000 per day, from voluntary sources. This demonstrates the great reliance we have on our community.
